ACADEMIC DIVISIONS
A complete pathway for developing learners.
The CASS learning pathway spans early childhood, elementary, junior high, and senior high school, with placement guided by the learner’s records and entrance assessment.
Early Childhood & Kindergarten
An age-appropriate start focused on communication, number awareness, movement, creativity, social interaction, routines, and readiness for elementary school.
Learning emphasis: language development, play-based exploration, confidence, cooperation, and basic concepts.
Elementary Division — Grades 1–6
Elementary learning builds literacy, numeracy, scientific awareness, social understanding, civic responsibility, creativity, and productive study habits.
Learning emphasis: reading, language arts, mathematics, general science, social studies, class participation, homework, and progression toward Grade 6 national assessment.
Junior High Division — Grades 7–9
Junior high students deepen subject knowledge, strengthen independent study habits, take part in leadership and extracurricular activities, and prepare for national examinations.
Learning emphasis: English, mathematics, science, social studies, history, geography, vocabulary, responsibility, and Grade 9 examination preparation.
Senior High Division — Grades 10–12
Senior high instruction prepares learners for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, further education, work, and responsible adulthood.
Learning emphasis: English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, economics, geography, history, career awareness, and examination readiness.

TEACHING & LEARNING
A Clear Cycle from Planning to Feedback.
Teachers begin with instructional objectives and choose teaching aids and methods suited to the lesson. Classroom activities introduce the topic, guide practice, and check understanding. Lessons close with a summary, evaluation, and assignment.
Students are expected to participate, complete work, attend regularly, respect the learning environment, and seek help when needed. Teachers and administrators monitor progress and communicate concerns to families.
MARKING-PERIOD ASSESSMENT
A Clear 100-Point Grading Structure.
Each marking period combines five assessment components. Together they total 100 points, giving students multiple ways to demonstrate participation, practice, understanding, and performance.

ACADEMIC PROGRESS

CASS monitors learning throughout each marking period through participation, classwork, assignments, quizzes, periodic tests, attendance, and teacher observation. This balanced approach helps teachers recognize progress early and respond where additional support is needed.

Recent Examination Performance
CASS continues to perform strongly in recent national examinations, with particularly positive outcomes at the primary and junior-high levels. Across selected recent assessments, overall pass outcomes have generally fallen within an approximate 75%–95% range.
The school uses examination results to strengthen instruction, target learner support, and prepare students confidently for the next level.
