ABOUT CHILDREN OF AFRICA SCHOOL SYSTEM
A School Built Around Access, Integrity, and Community.
Children of Africa School System serves families in Nyeablah, Bong Mines, Fuamah District, Bong County. Since 2014, the school has grown from a community education vision into a learning system spanning early childhood, elementary, junior high, and senior high school.
OUR STORY
From Child Sponsorship to a Complete School Community.
“Kinder Afrikas” is German for “Children of Africa.” Before CASS was founded, Kinder Afrikas e.V. supported children attending other schools in the Bong Mines area. The long-term vision was to bring sponsored children and other community learners together within one institution.
That vision became Children of Africa School System on March 10, 2014. CASS was later incorporated in Liberia as a not-for-profit educational organization. The founding effort brought together Kinder Afrikas e.V. and a Liberian team that included Richard Poeschl, Anthony K. C. Collins, Emmanuel S. Blama, Aaron S. Mulbah, and Massaquoi Shilling.
The school was initially established as a full junior high school and later developed a complete senior high programme. Its journey has included national examinations, student leadership traditions, multiple graduations, and continued campus development.
A founding partnership with lasting purpose
Kinder Afrikas e.V. has supported the school’s establishment, sponsorship work, educational development, and connection to friends and supporters beyond Liberia.

Before 2014
Kinder Afrikas e.V. sponsored children attending schools in the Bong Mines area and developed the vision for a shared school community.
March 10, 2014
Children of Africa School System was established in Nyeablah, Bong Mines.
2016/2017
CASS recorded its first junior high entry in the national examinations.
2021
The school registered Grade 6 candidates and continued developing its senior high examination programme.
October 25, 2025
CASS held its fifth graduation ceremony and dedicated the school auditorium at the main campus.

HOW CASS IS ORGANIZED
Clear Roles. Shared Responsibility.
The school policy places the Kinder Afrikas e.V. relationship and board-level oversight above the school administration. The Principal leads day-to-day operations and works with the Vice Principal for Administration, Vice Principal for Instruction, Registrar/Business Manager, and student-affairs or supervisory functions.
Teachers, support staff, students, the PTA, and the community each contribute to the school’s work. This structure is intended to support accountability, sound records, academic supervision, student welfare, and meaningful parent participation.

OUR CAMPUS
A Learning Environment Rooted in Bong Mines.
The CASS main campus is located in the Nyeablah community of Bong Mines. The campus includes classroom blocks and the auditorium dedicated in 2025. School documents also identify the continued need for resources that strengthen science, technology, reading, and practical learning.
As CASS grows, the school continues to strengthen learning spaces and pursue practical improvements that support safe, effective, and engaging education.
